I now just wanted any creature that could co-exist with, without getting them killed somehow. Subsequently, I decided to find a snake of some sort. I knew it was dangerous, but would it really matter that I made it out alive?
I heard, by eavesdropping on some rats, that snakes were suckers for flutes. "Flutes? Where am I supposed to get a flute?" I pondered, and I finally decided to make one myself.
Next, I made some darts with poisonous barbs on the end. By eavesdropping further, I learned where an immense adder lived. In the cave where the adder lived, there were sparkling stalactites. I then saw two large somber eyes stare down at me. "Who are you little vixen, I am Neredæus, your escort to eternity..."
