Doompaw
Book of Doompaw: Part three of three

We had spent about four days rebuilding the ship. It was anything but easy work. First the younger and faster ones ,like my cousin and myself, found and brought wood for the ship the strongest ones carved the wood into boards for the ship, and the others captured new slaves. Everyone was now nailing the boards into place.Don't ask where we got the nails, I don't even know. it took another four days but it was finished. We then found the canvas for the original ship and set up the mast. We then set sail. the first two days were grand. We had the wind pulling us to the mainland, and we had caught a small school of mackeral(I love mackeral.). But on the third day some of the crew was looking sickly. We ignored it. The next day a rat was found pale and dead. this went on for many days until nine died. A fox said he knew of a place far north that had a red flower and that flower could cure any disease or sickness. We then turned our ship north. It took many days but we arrived on a shore. The fox, Redpatch, my cousin, Devilclaw, myself, and two weasels went along on a quest for the mountain which bore the flowers. The north blizzards pounded on us as we made our way up snowy mountains and dead forests. "This is the mountain." Said Redpatch. We looked at the large mountain. we then began our long journey up the mountain The next day we reached a cliff that climbed hundreds of feet above us. We then began our climb up the steep cliffside. one of the weasels lost his footing and fell screaming towards the ground. A rock jutting out from the face of the cliff broke sis fall. And about every bone in his body. When we reached the top we heard a rushing noise. We then realized what the weasels screaming had done. Avalanche. Devil claw and my self were able to find shelter behind a large rock. The rock blocked the snow from hitting us. When it was over we climbed out to see what became of the weasel and Redpatch we found the weasel frozen to death. We never found Redpatch's body. The next morning we found the flowers. Put them in the packs we brought. We tied our ropes to a strong, but dead tree, and then we climbed down the cliff. The rest of the journey back to the ship was simple. When we got back to the ship we pounded the flowers and mixed it with warm water. We then sailed south. Towards my home. In two days the crew had been cured and I was dropped by my home. Dreaming to be a captain of my own ship. End of book.
