Tales of Rizkah: Chapter Four

Abbess Felice's eyes grew wide as Rae related everything she had heard. The angered Otter slapped her tail on the ground hard. "Why is it that vermin always seem to eventually stumble across Redwall?" she growled dangerously. "Perseus, see that there are plenty of arrows stored away, and go and get Clover and Ginger to help you make more, they are experts at making arrows. Tibellom, see that there is enough weapons to equip every able fighter at Redwall now. We should make preperations just in case the vermin horde heads here. Nutmeg, Adam, go check to see if there is enough food stocked away just in case. Oh and Cerise, go check on the Dibbuns and make sure they arent doing any trouble. Rae my child, please go check on Friar Wendel. Tomorrow's Name Day Feast shall be the best!" Felice smiled, as Cerise trotted off. Vanille got up and stood next to her friend the abbess. "Cerise is such a good mole. Remember when we were on our journey and we had to dug under Castle Delamorte? Cerise was always such a trickster, yet I guess that act of responsibility changed her around." Vanille grinned dreamily. "Those were the times, my friend. Now, can you please go and try to find some people who would be willing to do sentry duty?" Felice asked, patting her hedgehog friends head. Vanille smiled and walked off too the Abbey pond, where a bunch a brawny Otters splashed around. Worthy recruits. Felice sat down tiredly in the main chair and sighed. It hadnt been that long ago that vermin had attacked the Abbey. Felice began to fall into a stressful daydream when... BONGBONGBONG!!!!!!!!!! Felice jumped up with a start! "Darn that rip!" Felice swiftly ran up the stairs towards the bell tower. She almost ran headfirst into a young squirrelmaid. "Silverwind! What did I tell you about ringing the bell so loud?" Felice couldnt help smiling at the young squirrel. Silverwind bowed her head respectfully. "Sorry, Abbess marm." Felice quickly grabbed the squirrelmaids hand. "Come along, young rip. Lets go check out how the Great Hall looks." Silverwind smiled and her and the Abbess trotted merrily down the stairs. Perseus and his friend Serah laughed hysterically as they decorated the Great Hall. Tibellom was being his bossy old self again, and that was what was funny. "Come on you lil' blighters! Come down and fight like men!" Tibellom hollered up at them. "Dont forget women!" Serah hollered back. Tibellom snarled. " It doesnt matter!" Serah and Perseus just cracked up more. Felice and Silverwind walked in to the scene. Serah and Perseus stopped laughing and Tibellom turned around. "Abbess!" Serah and Perseus called happily and got down from there perch. "How d'you like the decorations?" Serah asked. Felice surveyed the area and clapped her paws to her face. "Tis wonderful!" she exclaimed happily. Beautiful banners of red and gold decorated with a likeness of Martin the Warrior were hung in each corner. The windows were decorsted with heavy red drapes and the table was covered in a red damask table clothe, trimmed with gold tassles. "Who sewed this?" Felice asked. "Seadream did, with Sister Ajelina's help. Seadream thought up the idea." Perseus informed her. Felice smiled happily, and made a mental note to congratulate them at the feast. "Mother Abbess?" a shy and low voice called from behind Felice. The Abbess turned around and looked down at a young ottermaid. "Yes Seadream, my child?" Felice asked. Seadream blushed. "What is this Nameday called?" she asked quietly. Felcie pondered for a moment, then her face lit up. "The Spring of the Sea Dreams!" Felice declared. Seadream blushed furiously. "Really, Mother Abbess?" she asked, a little bit louder. "You deserve it all for thinking up this beautiful set up." Felice said. Seadream ran off to the kitchens to help Friar Wendel. Perseus climbed swiftly up to his perch and called out "Its the Spring of the Sea Dream!"
