Mutiny

A volley of arrows shot into the nightsky, flaming. "Attack!" A wave of horde beasts followed the arrows toward the pitful few of goodbeasts. A squirrel prepares to launch her arrow. A stoat blundererd through the forest to fall dead with the squirrel's arrow in his heart. The squirrel, Acorn, leapt down and yanked the arrow out of the corpse. She ducked low and scurried toward her companians. "One stoat dead." A mole nodded towards her. "Burr aye, that's gudd!" A mouse came running up. "The vermin our gaining on us fast!" Acorn scratched her ear. "Are the pits ready?" The mouse nodded. "The pikes are sticking up well and the pits are well covered. We lined up Tony's gang on the other side of the pits so the vermin will fall in." "Good. Get everybody at their places." The creatures set off. An hour later many bodies littered the ground. Blood streammed everywhere, covering evrything with the red liquid. The mouse lay dead along side Acorn. Both had fought bravely. A couple shrews and a mole and a hare met on a hill, over looking the terible war torn country. The hare looked at the group in the distance. "The main portion of vermin that didn't get killed are working themselves up to slaughter the rest of us, wot wot!" The mole shook his head. "Gurr, my friends got killed!" A shrew snarled. "We'll just have to deafeted the rest of them." He strated marching off when the other shrew stopped him. He drew his rapier. "You're not goin' to order us around, blood drinker." The other shrew turned around and drew his weapon. "Blood drinker yore self." The mole thrust himself between them. "Yurr not goin' to fight!" But the shrews pushed the mole who fell and cracked his head on a rock. The shrews began battleing, unaware that their mole friend lay lifeless. The hare protested. "Hey, that wasn't a very nice thing to do to this ol' molechap. Burgle, please wake up!" One of the shrews accidently threw a dagger towars the hare's unprotected back. The hare stood up, the dagger missing him and landing in his leg. The hare collasped. One shrew fell and his eyes filmed over when his opponents rapier went through his heart. The remaining shrew wiped his blade, unaware of certain events and marched off, leaving behind two slain friends and a wounded hare.
